Education Strategy - Hui-a-Iwi

Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri Hui a Iwi August 2014

‘Tangata akona ki te kainga, tū ki te marae tau ana’

We want to hear your aspirations and expectations for the future of Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri people, our reo and matauranga.

Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri Iwi Trust will be holding a series of Hui to share information, understand aspirations and gather feedback from rangatahi, pakeke, and kaumātua. This kōrero will assist in building strategies for te reo revitalisation and education, learning and development from a Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri perspective.

These strategies are to support and grow communities and whānau who live in Wharekauri and those who whakapapa to Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri.

Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri Iwi Trust have engaged Ruakere Hond, Mitchell Ritai, Kym Hamilton, Mahara Gilsenan and Gail Amaru to work with whānau and communities to design strategies, identify priorities and plan activities that will:
