He Mate

We are saddened to note the passing yesterday of Moriori Rangatira Benji Solomon, son of Ben & Lydia Solomon, and father of James and John Solomon.

Benji was one of the initiators of the WAI64 claim for Moriori and was instrumental in establishing the modern ahua of Moriori for our island.

Benji’s is with his whānau at Kopinga marae. His service will be:
12pm, Thursday 5 September,
Kopinga Marae

He will be interred:
Te Pamu a Manukau (Manukau Farm) – 2pm.
